Paralegal – Commercial Debt Litigation

Location: Manchester City Centre

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 2 days a week in the office

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing agreements and confirming debtor details
  • Drafting letters of claim
  • Profiling debtors using official databases and online sources
  • Producing concise recovery-prospect reports
  • Negotiating settlements and managing client communication
  • Advising on litigation steps and reviewing client documentation
  • Managing case files, issuing proceedings, and entering default judgment
  • Recommending enforcement options and instructing agents
  • Updating clients on costs and progress
  • Handling work in progress (WIP), billing, and diary management
  • Supporting client reporting requirements

What We’re Looking For

We seek someone who brings:

  • Experience in debt recovery, litigation support, or a similar legal environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communication and negotiation abilities
  • A proactive, organised approach to managing a busy caseload
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Enthusiasm, initiative, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service
