Description
The London Commercial Disputes Group forms part of the firm's Global Practice Group, based in the London HQ in the Woolgate Exchange. It deals with high-value, complex claims and disputes (frequently with an international flavour).
We are recruiting fixed term paralegals for a large disclosure exercise, initially for six months, with the possibility of an extension.
Key Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities may include any or all of the following:
- Reviewing documents on an e-Disclosure platform.
- Attending some meetings and note taking.
- Assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files.
- General administration tasks to include photocopying, scanning and faxing.
- Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
- Coordinating clear document management including preparing and maintaining records, assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files.
- Reviewing documents and preparing electronic and hard copy bundles of documents for counsel/experts/factual witnesses.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Must be available to start full time work ASAP
- A 2:1 degree in Law and/or practical or academic experience of litigation
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal executive is desirable
- Experience of carrying out electronic disclosure exercises in particular working knowledge of document management databases
- Knowledge of MS Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
- Attention to detail and an extremely high quality of work product is essential
- An ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritising workload
- Enthusiastic and approachable with a committed and flexible attitude to work
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
