Court of Protection Paralegal or Legal Assistant – [Job Title]

We’re a national law firm with a local reach. Our legal experts are here for you, supporting individuals and businesses through life’s personal or business-related hurdles. We’re more than just a law firm—we’re a team committed to helping everyone navigate challenges with clarity, care, and collaboration.

You’d feel right at home with us. Our culture thrives on friendliness, inclusion, and mutual respect. We don’t just shape legal outcomes; we empower colleagues, clients, and communities to thrive. Whether you thrive in structured schedules or flexible approaches, we structure work to suit your strengths and the business’s needs so that everyone—employees, clients, and the firm—can perform at their best.

We support a diverse range of work arrangements, including our Flexible by Choice initiative, which lets colleagues tailor their schedules (hybrid or otherwise) where permitted by role and client needs.

About the Role & The Court of Protection Specialist Team

The Court of Protection (a judicial body) makes decisions about finances and affairs for individuals lacking mental capacity to do so independently. As one of the UK’s leading Court of Protection legal teams, our dedicated solicitors and support staff cover all aspects—from assisting depfamilies, caring relatives, or professionals, to advising individuals concerned about their (or others') capacity to manage legal matters.

You’ll be joining a fast-paced, client-focused team, forming part of a collaborative effort that supports vulnerable clients, their families, and other stakeholders with compassion and precision.

Your Key Responsibilities

Working in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, prioritisation skills, and collaborative insight. Below are your key accountabilities:

  • Client-Centric Support:

    • Take instructions from clients with clarity and empathy, delivering accurate legal advice.
    • Gather relevant evidence and process matters efficiently toward resolution.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Manage a busy caseload with impeccable accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and a client-first mentality.
    • Plan workloads strategically to meet time recording targets and ensure profitability.
    • Immunise the team by keeping current on legal developments and attending mandatory training to uphold best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
