Slater and Gordon

Slater and Gordon are a leading consumer law firm which provides a broad range of specialist legal and complementary services. We are undergoing a huge transformation across all areas of the business, with a focus on people and technology, and our mission is to give people easier access to our world class legal services.

We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Court of Protection team, which provides legal services to clients who lack mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. You will assist our solicitors with various aspects of case management, such as drafting documents, conducting research, liaising with clients and third parties, and preparing court applications. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in this complex and rewarding area of law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support solicitors with the day-to-day management of court of protection cases, including drafting correspondence, statements, reports, arranging payments, managing cash flow and keeping accurate records of transactions.
  • Liaise with clients, their families, medical professionals, social workers, and other parties involved in the cases.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case files and billing information.
  • Comply with the firm's policies and procedures, as well as the SRA Code of Conduct and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
