We are currently recruiting for a brand-new Paralegal position, to work in the London office of a leading US law firm.

The role will be offered on a permanent basis and will be to support the Debt Finance team.

This fantastic opportunity will see you working in an excellent practice area, partaking in a range of activities including monitoring the market, coordinating KYC materials, and legal research. Paralegals at this firm are offered a range of high-quality work and exposure that is second to none.

Typical duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Satisfying KYC documentation requirements on transactions.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to negotiate KYC documentation.
  • Performing Companies House searches and registrations.
  • Maintaining information databases for clients.
  • Drafting conditions precedent.
  • Reporting transactions for business development and knowhow purposes.
  • Monitoring and tracking the leveraged finance market.
  • Updating and developing the practice areas know how materials.
  • Ad hoc duties, as necessary.

As such, the firm is looking for a driven Paralegal, with a strong academic background and interest in leveraged finance. Suitable applicants will also have gained over 6 months relevant prior experience in a paralegal or compliance role within a law firm or in-house legal department. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.

Demonstrated experience with KYC and/or compliance in a deal execution team is highly desired.
