Description
This role is to work as part of the housebuilding and development team, based in our Bristol office, providing junior fee earner support and working closely with our associates, senior associates, legal directors and partners.
The Bristol housebuilding and development team has an incredibly strong reputation. Clients include national plc housebuilders, land promoters, landowners, investors and also charities.
The Real Estate team has a proven record in paralegal progression. We very much value and see our paralegals as our “incubation hub” for future talent and have in the last 12 months alone, seen 4 former Real Estate paralegals formally qualify as solicitors with the assistance of professional development funding and mentoring from within the team and wider group.
Key Responsibilities
For this particular role, your work will focus primarily on working with our national housebuilders team based in the Bristol office, which includes all aspects of brownfield site regeneration schemes, mixed use, urban extensions, the purchase and development of strategic land, joint ventures and collaborations and the development and disposals of new housing neighbourhoods.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Excellent academics including a 2.1 degree or better. A genuine interest in the law and property. Experience in residential development is not essential but would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to produce work to a high standard. Confident with an ability to build strong relationships with clients (internal and external) and third party contacts at all levels. Must be flexible, organised, and self-motivated team player who is able to work within the team to achieve common goals. Must be able to work under pressure to meet required deadlines.
