Job Description

This role provides direct support to the Global IP Operations Lead and the trademark team in the comprehensive management and maintenance of the organization's intellectual property portfolio. Responsibilities encompass the processing of trademark name and address change recordals, formal document management, trademark record auditing to ensure data integrity, and the development of trademark reports and data analysis to support strategic decision-making. The position also contributes to a variety of intellectual property special projects, supports trademark renewal processes, and plays a key role in the administration of the Anaqua database platform.
Location – Hybrid out of MDLZ global office (location flexible), preferably Bournville, UK
How You Will Contribute
You will:
- Track company entity changes that require initiation of new recordal projects
- Liaise with third-party agents and vendors on both existing and new recordal projects
- Monitor ongoing recordal projects and participate in routine review meetings
- Assist with the resolution of data discrepancies related to trademark recordals and renewals
- Create trademark reports from Anaqua and provide data analysis
- Assist in monthly trademark audits across all trademark modules in the Anaqua Database
- Serve as a backup for the primary Renewals Administrator during absences
- Assist with formal document preparation and execution
- Assist with database and file room clean-up projects
- Serve as the first-line escalation for all Anaqua Database issues across the team
- Open, manage, and track support tickets for the Anaqua Database through to full resolution
- Perform bulk record updates in the Anaqua Database

What You Will Bring
Existing function:
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
- Expertise in Intellectual Property name and/or address recordals and renewals and general trademark management
- Effective project and vendor management skills with the ability to lead complex projects
- Anaqua Database experience and expertise (back-end system management is a plus)
- The ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Possible expanded function:
- Direct management of patent and trademark recordal projects
- M&A support
- Enhanced Anaqua Database management
Required Qualifications:
- Paralegal Certification or equivalent job experience
- 3-5 years of trademark recordal related experience
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and working in a role where the scope will change over time based on business needs
- Knows how to get things done both through formal channels and informal networks
- Ability to establish partnerships with key internal support functions and stakeholders
- Instills trust and credibility with partners to influence strategies and tactics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting M&A Due Diligence and Integration of IP Documents and Records
- Experience with Anaqua database management for Trademark Functions including workflow configuration, creation and maintenance of fields, system enhancements, database testing with system updates, records audits, watch services
- Experience developing & implementing TM operational practices including digitization, automation, and/or artificial intelligence
