Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Residential Conveyancing)
JOB TITLE: Legal Assistant : Residential Property
LOCATION: Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire / Buckinghamshire
SALARY: Market rate
THE ROLE: A well:established, client:focused law firm is seeking a proactive and highly organised Legal Assistant to join its Residential Property team.
This is a key support role, assisting fee earners with the full conveyancing process from onboarding through to post:completion, while delivering a high standard of client service. Key Responsibilities
: Onboard new clients and open/close files in line with firm procedures
: Support with enquiries, quotations, and conversion of new business
: Assist with title checks, searches, and property:related enquiries
: Prepare exchange and completion documentation

: Manage post:completion tasks including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
: Handle client communication, calls, and inbox enquiries
About You
: Previous experience in a paralegal, legal assistant or legal secretary role
: Strong organisation and attention to detail
: Confident using case management systems and MS Office
: Excellent communication and client service skills
: Able to work under pressure and manage deadlines
