We’re seeking two motivated individuals to join the team as Paralegals.

Our Motor Volume - Damage Only team represents a range of high-profile insurer clients, defending claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) where losses have been incurred. These include small claims and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Stage 3 cases.

This role offers the opportunity to assist, under supervision, with a defendant motor insurance caseload, working towards satisfactory outcomes for our clients. You’ll be expected to deliver a high standard of service while maintaining accurate management information in line with client service level agreements (SLAs).

The role is hybrid and office attendance is required in Liverpool two days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of a caseload of motor damage claims from inception to resolution.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, third parties, and other solicitors.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records.
  • Support senior fee earners with administrative and procedural tasks.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Previous experience handling/working on claims in a legal environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Proven experience assisting on a motor defendant caseload, with sound knowledge of the MOJ and Small Track processes
  • Previous experience working with the Visual Files case management system.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information.
