Job Opportunity: Paralegals for Public Inquiry
Service Care Solutions' public sector client is seeking two Paralegals to join a high-profile Public Inquiry based in Edinburgh. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to work of significant public importance, supporting the Inquiry Legal Team in identifying witnesses, managing evidence, and preparing for hearings.
Working closely with Inquiry Solicitors, Counsel, and the wider evidence and document management teams, you will play a key role in handling sensitive information, reviewing large volumes of evidence, and ensuring legal processes are delivered accurately and within strict timescales.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the secure sharing of highly sensitive information and documentation with witnesses in accordance with established procedures
- Review and assess recovered evidence, exercising sound judgement to determine relevance in line with Inquiry policies and protocols
- Apply complex legal redactions to evidence within strict statutory deadlines
- Undertake legal and factual research, analysing complex information and presenting findings in clear, concise written reports
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal, with an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Law or Medicine
- Good knowledge of, or transferable skills relevant to, public law in Scotland
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately review and process high volumes of documentation
- Professional, discreet, and capable of handling confidential and sensitive information

What's on Offer
Job Title: Paralegal (x2)
Location: Waverley Gate, Edinburgh
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office (Tuesday to Thursday), 2 days from home
Contract: ASAP start | Initial contract up to 23 months (maximum)
Rate: £207.58 per day (LTD) | £177.14 per day (PAYE Inclusive)
