This is an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Real Estates Dispute Resolution team within the Real Estate Department.
Your role will involve a number of responsibilities including: working with the team to achieve tight deadlines, providing administrative assistance for a variety of tasks, research tasks, communicating with third parties (written and verbal), the completion and processing of legal forms/documents, and supporting with preparation for client meetings.
This role would be suitable for someone who has ability to pro-actively seek out opportunities and use their initiative in supporting the team in an effective way. We are looking for someone who will be enthusiastic in taking ownership of responsibilities and matters, allowing them to learn and develop in their career.
Main responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of various files from end to end.
- Producing standard letters where applicable, particularly in relation to service charge recovery claims.
- Managing general enquiries from clients / third parties.
- Assisting with the drafting of Court forms to i.e. pleadings, applications.
- Managing residential possession claims through the courts.
- Assisting with the drafting of statutory notices.
- Keeping a strict diary note of deadlines and timescales whilst in control of the file.
- Assisting with the preparation of hearing and trial bundles.
- Assisting with disclosure tasks.
- Assisting with collating exhibits to witness statements.
- Assisting with admin support when required.
- Checking files and finalising the file for closure.
- Dealing with any client balances on the file to go to the clients.
- Dealing with the billing of matters.

About you
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within Real Estate or Real Estate Dispute Resolution.
- Experience of working effectively to deliver to deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Pro-active and conscientious approach to work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of time recording using Elite or a similar system is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of using iManage or a similar document management system is desirable but not essential.
