Ready for a challenge? We are currently seeking a Paralegal to join the Transactions side of our Legal Services team and working in-house in a fast-paced but friendly and supportive environment. This role is offered on Fixed Term Basis until 31st of March 2027.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a caseload of routine/standard conveyancing cases (such as resales and staircasing), as well as providing advice and assistance on non-contentious matters in order to protect the interests of Southern Housing and its group.
  • Complying with the processes and procedures established in the team to ensure the efficient and effective provision of conveyancing and contract services and advice on property law to Southern Housing in line with our HEART values.
  • Liaising with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and our resident’s legal advisers. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with contacts and partners outside the Legal Services team.
  • Ensuring confidentiality, sensitivity, and a professional approach in all activities.
  • Providing cover for other members of the Transactions team in their absence and guidance/support to more junior team members.
  • Assisting the Transactional Solicitors as required and helping colleagues in Southern Housing with legal queries about property matters.

  • Law Degree or a CILEX Level 3 qualification in conveyancing or equivalent.
  • Recent experience working on conveyancing matters for a Housing Association or similar organisation is highly desirable.
