Job Summary
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Family Law Paralegal to join a fully remote team, working directly with the business owner. You will take ownership of cases end-to-end, supporting clients through every stage of the process—from documentation and court preparation to client communication.
This role is ideal for a highly independent professional who thrives in a high-responsibility, client-facing environment, and is confident managing legal documentation and sensitive client interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft witness statements, position statements, and supporting legal documentation
- Prepare court applications across family law matters (Children Act, Family Law Act, Matrimonial Causes Act, TOLATA, etc.)
- Review opposing party statements and supporting evidence
- Compile, organize, and format court bundles and exhibits to a court-ready standard
- Manage cases end-to-end, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted on time
- Conduct client consultations via phone and video calls, providing guidance and reassurance throughout the process
- Gather and manage client information for case preparation
- Draft professional client correspondence for use in legal proceedings
- Manage client onboarding and ensure all required documentation is collected
- Maintain and update CRM systems as cases progress
- Support legal research, reporting, and administrative tasks as required
- Assist with delivery of structured, productised service offerings
- Maintain accurate timesheet records and track work progress

Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a Paralegal, with a strong preference for family law experience
- Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish, with minimal supervision
- Strong experience drafting legal documents, witness statements, and court applications
- Hands-on experience preparing court bundles and organizing supporting evidence
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently engage clients via phone and video, including handling sensitive situations
- Strong understanding of UK family law processes and documentation standards
- Highly organized with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is accurate and court-ready
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems
- Experience using CRM systems, legal tools, and AI tools to improve productivity and workflow efficiency
- Background in legal research, reporting, and document formatting
