We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Unscheduled Care team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B Prison located in Bicester, Oxford.

Hours
- 37.5 hours a week
- Working 5 nights in a 4 week period, 7.30-19.30
- The rest a mixture of main, long shifts, between Monday to Sunday 7.30-17.30
- Every other weekend working 19.30-07.30
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £48,951 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
- Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focusing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
- Daily shift co-ordination responsibilities
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries
- Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding

Requirements
- Qualified Paramedic
- Current professional registration (HCPC)
- Proven post-registration ambulance experience - 3 years post-qualified
- Evidence of continued professional development
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
