Paraplanner – London (Hybrid)

Job Reference: 90763 Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + Benefits Location: Central London (Hybrid Working) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent


About the Opportunity

A leading and established wealth management business is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its Central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Paraplanner to thrive in a professional, client-focused environment, supporting Financial Advisers with the delivery of high-quality financial planning advice.

Working on a hybrid basis, you will play a key role in the research, recommendation, report writing, and implementation process, ensuring exceptional outcomes for high-net-worth and mass affluent clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive client files, including gathering information from providers and analysing existing arrangements.
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning solutions.
  • Assist Advisers in developing suitable financial planning recommendations.
  • Produce high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters.
  • Prepare illustrations, key features documents, and supporting client literature.
  • Support the implementation of investment, pension, and protection recommendations.
  • Ensure all client records, research, and compliance documentation are accurately maintained on the CRM system.
  • Prepare valuations, portfolio analysis, and cashflow modelling for client review meetings.
  • Complete annual review documentation and ongoing suitability assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure an efficient advice process.
  • Attend client meetings as required and produce detailed meeting notes.
  • Maintain accurate workflow management and task tracking.
  • Ensure all work complies with FCA and internal compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) – essential.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Paraplanner in an IFA, Wealth Management, or DFM environment.
  • Strong report-writing experience and technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection.
  • Experience using financial planning and CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with cashflow modelling software would be advantageous.
