Salary: up to £55k + discretionary bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Paraplanner to join a successful and growing financial planning team. Working closely with Financial Advisers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality holistic financial planning solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious paraplanner who enjoys complex planning work and wants to be involved in every stage of the client journey, from research and cashflow modelling through to financial planning recommendations and ongoing reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for and attend client meetings alongside Financial Advisers
- Take detailed meeting notes and follow up on technical matters arising from discussions
- Gather, analyse and interpret detailed financial information from clients and professional advisers
- Research and formulate appropriate planning solutions to meet clients' objectives
- Produce clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports
- Create and maintain detailed lifetime cashflow forecasting models
- Support the development of bespoke financial plans covering:
- Retirement planning
- Investment and wealth management strategies
- Tax planning
- Estate, succession and legacy planning
- Protection and contingency planning
- Conduct ongoing reviews of clients' financial arrangements and objectives
- Respond to complex technical queries from clients and advisers
- Build strong working relationships with clients and professional connections
- Work collaboratively with advisers and technical colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management environment
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, taxation, trusts and estate planning
- Experience producing suitability reports and financial planning recommendations
- Cashflow modelling experience
- Excellent analytical, research and report-writing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- A meticulous approach with exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- A client-focused mindset and commitment to delivering high standards of service

Qualifications
Essential:
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Working towards Chartered status
- Advanced technical qualifications
- Experience with cashflow modelling software such as Voyant
