Job Title
PARAPLANNER
Location: St Albans
Clark James Recruitment are working with a highly regarded Wealth Management business.
Due to further expansion within their business, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join the team in their St Albans office.
Role
The paraplanning team consists of paraplanners, administration staff, and trainee advisers. Your role will involve working as a paraplanner within the team to ensure the following roles are completed.
- You will be linked to advisers which are subject to change.
- Liaising directly with dedicated advisers and having daily update meetings for all cases.
- Providing technical support to others within the team and assisting advisers with technical queries and calculations.
- Compiling research for new business cases.
- Drafting suitability reports ready for adviser sign-off.
- Processing client requests, such as withdrawals and contributions.
- Building cashflow analysis in preparation for client meetings.
- Liaising with clients by phone, email, and posting all queries.
- Attending client meetings as and when necessary.
- Generating cover letters, one page documents, and other client facing documents.
- Printing and pre-populating any supporting documents required for review meetings.
- Answering the phone and dealing with queries as and when they arise.
- Ensure all paperwork is scanned to file appropriately, categorised, and subcategorised.
- Using workflows to track new business cases on iO.
- Updating iO with new fact find information.
- Processing LoAs / chasing policy information with providers.
- Sending out monthly valuations to clients.
- Ensuring compliance documents are in date and on iO.

- Proven paraplanning experience.
- Level 4 Diploma qualified or close to achieving this (R01–R06).
- Strong technical knowledge of financial products and services.
- Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy, and must act with discretion and integrity.
