Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently working on behalf of a well-established and award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants and Financial Planners, who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join their Financial Planning team in Blackburn.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is either early in their paraplanning career or already brings strong experience within financial planning. The successful candidate will work closely with Financial Advisers to support the delivery of high-quality advice to business owners, professionals, retirees and private clients.
The role would suit a proactive, detail-driven individual who is passionate about client service, technical accuracy and long-term professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Research products, funds and financial planning solutions to support tailored client advice
- Prepare suitability reports and supporting documentation for client meetings
- Assist advisers in identifying opportunities and areas for improvement within client portfolios
- Support compliance requirements through pre-sale checks and project work
- Contribute ideas to improve team processes, efficiency and client service delivery
- Use financial planning systems and AI tools to support research and advice preparation
- Work closely with advisers, administrators and wider support teams to ensure a smooth client journey
- Manage a busy and changing workload while meeting agreed timescales and client expectations
- Support work across areas such as pensions, investments, protection, cashflow modelling and inheritance tax planning

Candidate Criteria
- Previous experience within financial planning, paraplanning or financial administration
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a paraplanning role
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or working towards this
- Experience preparing suitability reports and supporting adviser recommendations
- Knowledge of areas such as pension switches, group pensions, investments, protection, cashflow modelling and inheritance tax planning would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
