About the Role
To provide a high level of paraplanning support to Rathbones Financial Planners, demonstrating a clear ability to understand client needs and objectives, and devise appropriate advice solutions in line with the wider business objectives.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Excellent client management skills, responds to client queries and attends client meetings where appropriate to assist with understanding the client needs and produces associated meeting notes/ documents.
- Support the Financial Planner to manage and deliver the ongoing client service strategy and can explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Be responsible for creating and delivering high quality, compliant and timely work to support RFP colleagues and Clients.
- Proactively work with manager and team to deliver results.

Financial Planning and technical development
- Strong understanding of the advice process and can identify appropriate client solutions across all planning areas.
- Analyses product features, benefits, and risks to formulate clear and confident recommendations.
- Actively requesting exposure to relevant advice areas to ensure holistic understanding.
- Receives feedback and acts on appropriately with a view to developing their client facing skills.
- Prepare Annual Review documentation including cashflow modelling where appropriate.

- Good understanding of risk and governance frameworks (internal & external) and the regulatory environment.
- Excellent numeracy, MS Office Systems and report writing skills including PowerPoint.
- Excellent knowledge and competence of business systems i.e. Xplan/RID/Voyant.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Client centric mindset with a proactive approach to service.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships internally and externally.

Professional experience and qualifications (where necessary)
- Has achieved Level 4 CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years as a Paraplanner.
- Experience of working with centrally devised tools, templates.
