Paraplanner – Financial Planning

About the Role

We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Planning team, where you will support 1-2 Financial Advisers with client meetings, cashflow presentations, and researching, preparing responses to technical matters, with reports, knowledge capture and ongoing staysionate support.


Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Prepare suitability reports across a wide range of advice types, financial products, and investment solutions.
  • Collaborate directly with Financial Planners:
    • Present cashflow modelling and manage client meetings.
    • Support technical advisory tasks (e.g., product research, compliance checks).
  • Accurately capture and track KYC information—ensuring it aligns with FCA guidelines and client needs.
  • Produce high-quality advice efficiently, while mitigating business risks and supporting business targets.
  • Communicate progress with Financial Planners to ensure timely (expected) delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and company processes (risk assessment, accuracy, adherence).

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential

  • Must hold a recognised Financial Planning qualification (CII Level 4 or equivalent).
  • Proven paraplanning experience with hands-on technical knowledge.
  • Robust ability to analyse financial products and analyse reports—must include suitability research rigorously.
  • Strong Working knowledge of Investment Solutions, Insurance Products, Tax planning, Protection and Wealth Management.
  • Spoken and written communication skills critical for clarity, pitches, and advice.
  • Organisational agility—manage priorities, work independently, and thrive in a high-collaborative team environment.
  • Analytical proficiency (literacy + numerical skills) needed for rapid accuracy.

  • Boatload of experience of working in a Financial Planning Firms Client Team.
  • Understanding of Mortgage Brokerage application, and its trat-laws on remorttage
