Senior Paraplanner – Financial Planning (Hybrid Role)
Location: Manchester (3 days office), Home (2 days weekly) Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours/week) Employer: Pareto Financial Planning, part of K3 Advisory Group
Pareto Financial Planning, a leading financial advisory firm within the K3 Advisory Group, is seeking a highly experienced Paraplanner to deliver complex financial planning support to clients and advisers. This is a dynamic role where the Paraplanner plays a critical role in driving high-quality financial outcomes for clients.
About the Role
The Paraplanner will work on a hybrid basis, splitting time between our Manchester office (3 days) and home (2 days). The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise, strong customer service skills, and a strategic approach to financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Conduct triage of client fact-finds to identify gaps and requirements for financial planning.
- Define key areas for planning based on client objectives.
- Collaborate with financial advisers to establish and clarify client goals.
- Perform detailed client analysis, assessing needs, priorities, and potential solutions.
- Research financial products, providers, and market trends to inform recommendations.
- Conduct cashflow modelling and scenario analysis to evaluate financial strategies.
- Liaise with legal and tax advisors (if required) to ensure holistic financial advice.
- Review and optimise asset allocation strategies, aligning with client risk profiles and objectives.
- Compile suitability reports and financial plans in compliance with FCA regulations and Pareto’s standards.
- Work with Administration teams to ensure recommendations are implementation-ready.

Technical, Risk & Compliance
- Provide technical expertise across pensions, investments, protection, and wealth strategy.
- Ensure all planning recommendations strictly adhere to FCA regulations and Pareto procedures.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and market trends (e.g., tax policy updates, product rules).
- Maintain accurate, current client records within Pareto’s systems.
- Coordinate with vendors, platforms, and internal teams to progress complex cases.
Adviser Support
- Support Financial Advisers in developing tailored financial strategies for clients.
- Attend client meetings when required to facilitate discussions.
- Assist in preparing review materials, documentation, and client engagement formats.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ Paraplanner experience in a regulated financial environment.
- Essential: Hold or be working towards Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma 4 in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical ability and report-writing skills required.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable plans.
