Paraplanner

Manchester | Hybrid Working

£48,000 to £60,000 (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications) plus excellent benefits

MBF are currently working with a modern and ambitious financial planning firm in Manchester that is looking to recruit an experienced Paraplanner as part of its continued growth.

This is an opportunity to join a business that is genuinely trying to do things differently.

Alongside delivering exceptional financial planning to high-net-worth clients, the firm is investing heavily in technology, automation and AI to improve the way advice is delivered. They are now looking for a technically accomplished Paraplanner who can play a key role in both supporting Financial Planners and helping shape the future of the paraplanning function.

This isn't simply a role where you'll use AI tools. You'll be helping the business develop them.

Working alongside the leadership team, you'll use your technical expertise to help train and refine AI-driven paraplanning processes, ensuring the technology produces accurate, compliant and commercially valuable outputs. You'll become the bridge between high quality financial planning and emerging technology.

The Role

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Working closely with a team of experienced Financial Planners, you'll prepare high quality suitability reports, undertake complex technical research and support advisers across sophisticated financial planning cases.

The client base includes high-net-worth individuals with a wide range of planning requirements, meaning you'll gain exposure to pensions, investments, protection, retirement planning, tax planning and estate planning. Experience across a broad range of advice areas would be particularly valuable.

Alongside your traditional paraplanning responsibilities, you'll play an important role in the firm's ongoing AI strategy. You'll review and refine AI-generated paraplanning outputs, provide technical feedback to improve accuracy and consistency, and work closely with the leadership team to help develop technology that genuinely enhances the advice process rather than replacing it.

You'll also identify opportunities to improve internal processes and contribute ideas that help the business continue to evolve.
