A well established wealth management firm is seeking an experienced and technically strong Paraplanner to join its team based in the heart of the City of London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 4 qualified paraplanner who is looking to take the next step in their career, combining high-level technical work with leadership responsibilities and operational involvement. You’ll play a key role in supporting a large and varied client portfolio while helping to mentor support staff and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the business.
The Role
Working closely with Advisers and the Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client support, managing complex financial planning administration, and ensuring efficient business operations across the practice.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Preparing client review packs and supporting review meetings
- Producing detailed fact-finds and assisting with recommendation preparation
- Managing Letters of Authority and liaising with product providers
- Maintaining accurate client records in line with FCA and compliance requirements
- Acting as a key point of contact between clients and Advisers
- Handling client queries via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings
- Supporting the submission and processing of new business
- Monitoring and updating client revenue streams
- Assisting with forecasting and business pipeline management
- Identifying and mitigating business and client-related risks
- Working closely with the internal Risk & Compliance team
- Supporting the Team Leader with operational management responsibilities
- Mentoring and developing junior team members and trainees
- Acting as a key link between Senior Management and the wider support team
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced paraplanner or senior financial planning support professional with strong technical knowledge and excellent organisational skills.
You’ll Have
- Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) as a minimum
- At least 2 years’ experience within paraplanning or financial planning support
- Strong technical knowledge across:
- Pensions
- Investments
- Protection
- Tax Planning
- Experience using Voyant and FE Analytics
- Salesforce experience desirable
- Previous exposure to mentoring or supporting junior team members
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the St. James’s Place proposition and systems would be highly advantageous
