Location: AFH Cookham
Working model: Remote
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time

As our Paraplanner you will typically:

  • Participate in and deliver comprehensive financial research, within set SLAs, on products and investments on an independent basis using company-approved research tools
  • Prepare and deliver bespoke investment reports, within set SLAs, to clients through the analysis of existing investment portfolios and comparison against suitable benchmarks
  • Prepare and interpret complex plan information with a view to completing transfer analysis
  • Prepare complex financial planning reports, within set SLAs, in multiple financial planning areas
  • Research and review, where necessary, new and existing legislation and technical/product information to aid in the role that is performed
  • Participate in firm research projects, adhering to set deadlines, as and if required.

What we are looking for in our ideal Paraplanner:

  • Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Demonstration of knowledge, interest, and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and suitability reports
  • Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communications of constructive feedback
  • A high standard of written and numerical skills
  • An ability to demonstrate strong report-writing skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude in Microsoft Office.

Key Risk Responsibilities:

  • Completion of assigned tasks, ensuring that SLAs are adhered to
  • Delivery of accurate and thorough research, calculations, New Business Investment Reports, and FPRs to advisers
  • Contribution into technical and regulatory development of advisers and/or staff on a specific case basis
  • Contribution into technical and regulatory development of Trainee Paraplanners
  • Thorough research conducted where necessary and referring to Senior team members, where necessary.
