About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing, independent wealth management firm managing approximately £2 billion in assets under management. The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to invest in its people, technology, and client proposition.

You'll be joining a collaborative and highly professional Financial Planning team where you'll play a key role in supporting Advisers to deliver outstanding advice and service to high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.

The Role

Working closely with Financial Planners and the wider Client Services team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality suitability reports, conducting technical research, and helping to deliver tailored financial planning solutions.

  • Preparing suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning.
  • Conducting research into financial planning solutions and providers.
  • Assisting Advisers in developing appropriate client recommendations.
  • Performing cashflow modelling where appropriate.
  • Reviewing existing client portfolios and identifying planning opportunities.
  • Liaising with providers to obtain information and process technical queries.
  • Ensuring advice documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, legislation, and regulatory changes.
  • Supporting the wider Financial Planning team with technical expertise.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and is keen to continue developing their knowledge and qualifications.

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within a Financial Planning or Wealth Management firm.
  • Good knowledge of pensions, investments, ISAs, protection, and retirement planning.
  • Experience preparing suitability reports and conducting technical research.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
  • Progress towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning is preferred, although applications are welcomed from individuals actively working towards the qualification. Candidates who have already achieved Level 4 are also encouraged to apply.
