Swarm Recruitment are delighted to support a long-established, client-focused, St James’ Place Partner Practice in their search for a Paraplanner.
The firm provides bespoke wealth management and financial planning advice to individuals, families, trustees, and business owners across the South East, helping clients build, grow, protect, and preserve their wealth through every stage of life.

About the Role
As a Paraplanner, you’ll work closely alongside advisers and support staff, contributing to the delivery of exceptional financial planning—especially on complex cases.

Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality suitability reports across:
- Investments
- Pensions
- Protection
- Retirement planning
- Inheritance tax planning
- Analysing client information and conducting technical research
- Structuring advice in line with:
- Client objectives
- St. James’s Place (SJP) propositions
- FCA requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and workflows in Salesforce
- Producing cashflow modelling and planning illustrations where necessary
- Supporting Advisers with pre- and post-meeting preparation
- Assisting on complex planning cases and technical queries
- Keeping up to date with:
- Regulatory changes
- Legislative updates
- SJP proposition developments
Qualifications
Required
- Part-qualified paraplanners: Working towards Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Recognised by CII, CISI, or equivalent)
- Experienced paraplanners: Diploma-qualified OR able to demonstrate substantial paraplanning experience

Required Skills
- Experience within a UK financial planning or paraplanning environment
- Strong grasp of regulated advice processes
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
Preferred Skills
- Independent experience writing suitability reports
- Strong knowledge of pensions and retirement planning
- Background in a St. James’s Place Partner Practice
- Cashflow planning software proficiency
Compensation Package
- Salary range: £35,000 – £48,000 (dependent on experience)
- Exam funding and study support
- Clear progression opportunities
