Paraplanner/Trainee Financial Planner
Ready to Take the Next Step into Financial Advice?
Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a genuine route into becoming a Financial Planner?
Recruit Wealth are delighted to be representing a highly successful, independent Financial Planning business seeking an ambitious, aspiring Advisor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue developing your technical and client contact expertise whilst working towards becoming a fully competent Financial Adviser.
Unlike many trainee adviser positions, you'll benefit from a structured career pathway, full study support, a generous basic salary and a continual flow of existing client opportunities from the very beginning.
If you've reached the point where you're ready to move beyond paraplanning and into client advice, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The Opportunity
This hybrid role combines technical paraplanning with gradual exposure to client-facing financial planning, allowing you to build confidence before progressing into a fully-fledged advisory position.
- You'll initially support advisers with complex technical work before progressively taking responsibility for your own client meetings, annual reviews and new client introductions.
- All client opportunities are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding advice rather than business development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
