Senior Logistician – Parks Operations Manager ( contract )

About the Role
Position: Permanent
Hours: 38 per week, with additional opportunities for overtime. Typical Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 07:24 – 15:00 (including 2-hour scheduled attendance)
Location: Parcelforce Worldwide, Stoke (ST5 9QH)
Compensation & Benefits
Salaries offer fair progress opportunities:
- Starting salary: £25,201 per year (£12.71/hour)
- After 6 months: £27,561 per year (£13.94/hour)
- Earning potential: Up to £30,000, if overtime is worked
Paid weekday and weekend overtime, guaranteed.
Additional Allowances & Inclusions:
- Monthly Allowance (Non-Pensionable) – £903.84/year
- Weekly Driving Allowance: £26.73 per week.

What You’ll Do
Being the Parks Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Lead June Logistics: Plan and execute staffing, ensure deliveries align with operational contracts.
- Supervisory Tasks: Mentor L1 Packers and Associates; manage remote teams and logistics sub-contractors.
- Beauty Checks: Conduct regular workplace audits.
- Innovation Support: Promote productivity, evidenced by Winning randomised audits by June assigning.
- Strategy Collaboration: Work with Operations Leadership team to roll out industry best practices.
Key Deliverables
- Provide regular success reviews with senior leadership
- Ensure quality-controlled efficient logistics delivery
- Ensure parcels/operations meet Royal Mail performance standards
- Foster a collaborative team environment
Key Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven supervisory experience (6+ yrs managing teams in logistics/storage or transport management)
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in operational efficiency.
- Passionate about UK postal logistics with a commitment to quality service delivery.
- Comfortable driving across the UK for work visits (travel allowance provided).
