Parent Support Advisor at St. Mary the Virgin Church of England Primary School
Contract: Fixed Term until 31.08.2027
Salary: £12,472.00 Annually (Actual) Grade 7, Point 8 Hours: 20 hours per week for 39 weeks per year
St Mary the Virgin CE Primary School are seeking a highly organised and compassionate Parent Support Advisor to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding role that provides vital support to parents and families within the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for parents, offering advice and support in a friendly, professional manner.
- Working collaboratively to help overcome barriers to learning, including challenges with attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Signposting parents to appropriate external agencies and community support when necessary.
- Supporting the school’s safeguarding and pastoral work.
- Leading small group sessions to support learning across the curriculum.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Requirements
An ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisation, reliability, and workload management abilities.
- The capacity to form strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- A caring, empathetic, and solution-focused approach.
- Prior experience in administration / family support.
- Experience working with children.

Safeguarding & Compliance
