Job Title: Park Assistant


Position Overview

Working as a Park Assistant you will ensure our visitors have a fun-filled, enjoyable experience at our country park. To do this you must have a helpful, friendly attitude with exceptional customer service skills. You will be required to work as part of a team, keeping positive at all times and going the extra mile to maintain the happiness of our visitors, as well as your colleagues.


Areas of Work

You will be working across all areas of the business from our Front of House and shop area through to events and facilities and possibly even parking cars. We also have a pavilion that caters to children and young adults with Special Educational Needs as well as an adventure playground and our park play area that has trampolines, quad bikes, and mini golf. This is a varied role in which you can be working across a number of different areas and departments however the same exceptional customer service skill are required in all areas.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Skills

  • Deliver a high level of customer service, this means wearing a smile at all times, being open and approachable, and talking to the customers
  • You must be able to interact with our customers and ask them if they are having a great day
  • Ensuring you have a good knowledge of our visitor attractions and services to be able to relay this to the customer
  • Make sure all customers feel welcome and want to return to the park
  • You must be polite and respectful at all times and able to adapt your demeanour to interact with visitors of all ages and needs
  • You must have a smart and tidy appearance and follow our uniform policy at all times
  • Be able to work as part of a team helping your colleagues to create a positive environment to work in

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the park and farm; ensuring the area is litter free at all times
  • Helping our facilities team clean the farm, park and toilets
  • Assist with the preparation and take down of special events, working hard to ensure that any given tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • A willingness to carry out any required tasks with a positive, can-do attitude proving that you are enthusiastic and passionate about the job and are a team player.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures including fire safety, first aid, lost child, and risk assessments for certain tasks

Hours of Work

This is a seasonal position with flexible hours and you must be prepared to work weekends, bank holidays, and school holidays. This can also be a short-term position if you are only interested in a particular school holiday
