Overview

As the Park Warden, you will oversee the security and safety operations within the park, ensuring a secure and pleasant environment for both guests and staff. You will manage security records, monitor park activities, and provide essential information and support to maintain high standards of safety and service. This role requires excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to handling security and customer service matters.

Job Duties

  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the park to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of all security activities, including investigations of incidents, accidents, and witness statements.
  • Manage site entrances, monitor visitor, staff, and customer activity to control access and ensure adherence to park policies.
  • Provide appropriate storage and control of lost property, keeping detailed records of deposits and claims.
  • Proactively discourage and address any on-site intruders, ensuring the security of the park.
  • Offer on-site and local information to guests and staff, assisting with inquiries and enhancing their experience.
  • Monitor and address any disruptive behaviour or situations likely to cause disturbances, ensuring a peaceful environment.
  • Conduct thorough and unbiased investigations into incidents, providing detailed statements and reports suitable for use by third parties (e.g., police, courts).
  • Maintain a good understanding of plot/pitch locations and the overall park layout to effectively manage security and respond to incidents.
  • Be familiar with and manage procedures for late arrivals, ensuring guest needs are met and security is maintained.
  • Handle customer comments and complaints, ensuring they are logged and directed to the appropriate departments. Inform the General Manager of any serious or potentially serious issues.

  • Proven experience in a security or warden role, with prior management experience preferred.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and handle incidents effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests, staff, and external authorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve security-related issues promptly.
  • High attention to detail, especially in maintaining accurate records and conducting thorough investigations.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as required by the needs of the park.
  • This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
