Overview

As the Park Warden, you will oversee security and safety operations within the park, ensuring a secure and pleasant environment for both guests and staff. Your role involves managing security records, monitoring park activities, and providing essential information and support to maintain high standards of safety and service.

Job Duties

General Security & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the park to ensure safety for guests and staff.
  • Monitor visitor, staff, and customer activity to control access and enforce park policies.
  • Conduct thorough and unbiased investigations into incidents, providing detailed reports for use by third parties (e.g., police, courts).

Access & Property Management:

  • Oversee park entrances, manage late arrivals, and ensure secure check-in procedures.
  • Handle and log lost property, including deposit and claims management.

Conflict Resolution & Customer Support:

  • Address disruptive behaviour or potentially harmful situations proactively.
  • Offer on-site and local information to guests and staff, enhancing their experience.
  • Log customer comments and complaints, escalating serious issues to the General Manager.

Incident & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of security activities, including incidents, accidents, and witness statements.
  • Provide witness statements in the event of legal or law enforcement investigations.

Park Navigation & Procedures:

  • Have a strong understanding of plot/pitch locations and the overall park layout.
  • Manage placed procedures for late arrivals, ensuring guest needs and security requirements are met efficiently.

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a security or warden role (management experience preferred).
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, records, and incidents effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with experience interacting with guests, staff, and external authorities.
  • Proactive problem-solving to address and resolve security-related issues promptly.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in record-keeping and investigations.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
