Role Description
The Parkfield Primary Principal role at ImpactMatch is a contract, remote position focused on providing strategic leadership, educational guidance, and values-led management to a primary school community. The Principal will oversee teaching and learning standards, support curriculum development, and ensure that the school’s vision aligns with inclusive, social impact-driven practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Coaching and supporting senior leaders and teachers
- Monitoring school performance data
- Fostering a culture of safeguarding, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
The Principal will collaborate with ImpactMatch and school stakeholders, engage families and community partners, and contribute to clear reporting on outcomes and progress. The role involves setting high expectations for equity, inclusion, and achievement, while maintaining transparent communication and effective operational oversight.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in primary education, including responsibility for whole-school strategy, curriculum, and performance.
- Proven ability to foster inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environments, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and wellbeing practices.
- Experience using data and evidence to drive school improvement, monitor outcomes, and inform decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with governors, families, community partners, and external agencies.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and people management abilities, with a focus on empowering staff and developing leadership capacity.
- Commitment to social impact, equity, and disability inclusion, and alignment with ImpactMatch’s values-driven approach.
- Relevant teaching qualification and substantial senior leadership experience (e.g., Headteacher or equivalent); prior experience in UK primary education is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working remotely with digital collaboration tools, and the ability to manage time, priorities, and reporting in a contract-based role.
