About the Role:

Are you organised, customer-focused, and able to analyse complex information? Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a Parking Technician (Complaints & Appeals) to support the delivery of Civil Parking Enforcement across the county.

An opportunity has arisen within Parking Services for a Parking Technician (Complaints & Appeals), helping to administer parking enforcement processes, manage appeals and complaints, maintain parking databases, and ensure Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage parking-related complaints and appeals.
  • Support the administration of Civil Parking Enforcement (Regulation 9 and Regulation 10 Penalty Charge Notices).
  • Maintain parking databases, spreadsheets, and records.
  • Process PCN payments and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
  • Prepare cases for the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
  • Debt recovery reconciliation.
  • Provide professional responses to customer enquiries.

About You

  • Strong IT and data handling skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organised with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience within Parking or a similar service area is desirable.
