Part-Time A Level Tutor
A-Level Tutor (Science, Psychology, or Economics) – Manchester City Women’s Professional Development Phase
Location: Manchester City Football Academy Work Type: Part-time (18.75hrs per week), Fixed-term About the Role: This role supports the academic development of players in Manchester City Women’s Professional Development Phase. You’ll plan, teach, and assess A-Level subjects, helping young athletes balance their football commitments and education while striving for target exam grades.

Within the Academy Education Team, you’ll work alongside players, parents, schools, colleges, and collaborators to foster a supportive environment for academic and sporting success.
The Role
As A-Level Tutor, your key responsibilities include:
- Curriculum & Teaching:
- Plan, deliver, and assess A-Level programmes in Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, or Economics.
- Create tailored learning materials that align with players’ football schedules.
- Monitor progress, provide feedback, and set developmental goals to help meet target grades.

Administrative Support:
- Contribute to progress reports, school/college liaisons, and communication regarding hybrid/part-time training schedules.

Collaborative Guidance:
- Partner with Education Team colleagues and external providers to ensure academic ambitions align with football progression.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and embed the Club’s values of grit, pride, ambition, and respect in role conducive to player success.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Science, Psychology, Economics, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, QTLS, QTS), with experience in KS5/post-16 teaching.
- Practical experience teaching A-Level in Chemistry/Biology, Psychology, or Economics.
- Skills in:
- Creating high-quality, accessible resources.
- Tracking academic progress and reporting clearly.
- Strong communication, organising, and collaborative skills with a focus on safeguarding and CPD.
