Exceptional Accountant Needed – Ground-Floor Role in Dental Accounting Startup
About the Role
Join a dynamic accountancy startup exclusively focused on supporting dentists and dental associates across the UK. Their mission is simple: handle the numbers so their clients can focus on smiles!
The team is a passionate, agile, and ambitious young business seeking an exceptional accountant to join at the ground level—help shape processes, drive growth, and grow alongside them.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting services for a portfolio of dentists and dental associates
- Design and refine internal processes, including selecting and setting up cloud accounting software and tools
- Prepare and submit annual accounts, self-assessments, and corporation tax returns
- Deliver clear, proactive financial advice and tax-planning strategies tailored to the dental sector
- Act as a trusted, professional point of contact for client queries via video calls and emails

What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or currently in the process of completing professional exams) OR
- Qualified by experience with a solid practice background
Mindset & Attributes
- Tech-savvy: Understands what makes good accounting software and wants to build an optimal tech ecosystem
- Communication: Well-spoken, articulate, and adept at building strong, professional client relationships
- Ambition: A self-motivated professional excited by autonomy and the chance to put a personal stamp on a growing startup

Ideal Candidate Logistics
- Remote role, though proximity to Oxford is beneficial for occasional strategy meetups
- Part-time (2 days per week), with potential to scale as the business grows
- FTE salary starting at £45,000
