Part time Afternoon Cleaner
Part-Time Afternoon Cleaner – Fixed Term Contract (20 Hours/Week)
Location: Noel Baker Academy DE24 0BR
Contract Type: Fixed-term, 9-month contract
Salary & Benefits:
- £12,455.80 per annum

Shift Pattern
- Monday–Friday, 15:15–19:15
- 4 weeks’ annual leave (no holiday during term time or during deep cleans)
- Deep clean schedules (normally):
- 1 week (Feb) – Mon–Fri, 7:00–11:30
- 1 week (Apr) – Mon–Fri, 7:00–11:30
- 2 weeks (Aug) – Mon–Fri, 7:00–11:30
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and presentation in all working areas
- Report maintenance issues to the Caretaker promptly
- Work under pressure, problem-solve, and use initiative when required
- Adhere to all company systems, processes, and site rules
- Wear the company uniform at all times and maintain a smart appearance
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and COSHH regulations
- Follow equipment maintenance, cleaning, and storage instructions
- Keep cupboards clean and locked when not in use
- Proactively improve working practices while following safety procedures
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Caretaker
- Respond to customer requests with professionalism and courtesy

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Enhanced DBS clearance (must be able to pass)
- Experience in cleaning/hospitality industry with knowledge of housekeeping best practices
- Strong timekeeping & attendance record
- Outgoing personality with a customer service focus
- Proven ability to deliver a high-quality service with attention to detail
- BICS qualified or equivalent is desirable
