Prime Life are seeking passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Day Care Assistant, on a part-time basis. We currently have multiple vacancies and would like to meet with potential candidates as soon as possible for interviews.
About the Role
This role is based at Barons Park Nursing and Residential Home, located in Kirby Muxloe.
The home is designed to meet the exceptional needs of 46 residents, each living with a range of physical, age-related, and mental health conditions requiring dignified, thoughtful support. Candidates for this position must be patient, empathetic, and deeply respectful of each resident’s unique abilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene and daily dressing choices
- Supporting residents with mealtimes, ensuring they adhere to proper nutrition and hydration
- Encouraging safe mobility with the help of mobility aids and specialist equipment
- Playing an important role in social and emotional support—accompanying residents on outings, errands, or appointments and providing companionship
- Maintaining accurate documentation of residents’ care needs, progress, and interactions
- Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team while engaging with other care professionals as required
- Welcoming and assisting family members with enquiries and concerns

What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you must:
- Demonstrate a genuine compassionate nature and a strong desire to make a positive impact on residents’ lives.
- Full training is provided, so prior care experience is not mandatory. However, familiarity with dementia care would be beneficial, given the needs of many of our residents.
- Be patient, understanding, and respectful toward challenges arising in dementia care and other life-limiting health conditions.
