Heritage Healthcare is looking to recruit two compassionate Part-Time Care Assistants to support an individual with learning disabilities in their own home in the Brotton area.

Your Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll provide personalised support that promotes independence and enhances quality of life. Duties include:

  • Supporting with personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and encouraging healthy eating.
  • Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
  • Supporting daily routines and encouraging independence.
  • Assisting with household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable home.
  • Administering medication in line with care plans and company policies.
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes to the wider care team.
  • Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
  • Working alongside colleagues to deliver consistent, person-centred support.
  • Following all health and safety and safeguarding procedures.

About The Role

  • Based in Brotton, supporting an individual with learning disabilities in their own home.
  • We are recruiting two part-time Care Assistants to join an established and supportive care team.
  • Regular part-time hours available across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
  • Opportunity to work additional hours if desired.
  • Full training and ongoing support provided.

What We're Looking For

  • A caring, patient and compassionate nature.
  • A genuine passion for supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and able to work as part of a team.
  • No previous care experience is required – full training is provided.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
