Here at UPP we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Cleaning Supervisor to join our team.
Job Details
This is a permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week from 8am to 12pm Monday to Friday. The pro-rated salary is £15,316 per annum.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan housekeeping and domestic services, general management, and administrative and control procedures
- Maintain accurate information on costs incurred on housekeeping and cleaning activities
- Regular review of existing procedures in order to increase efficiencies and improve service standards and continually review operating practices in order to identify new or alternative methods of work
- Respond to student complaints within the agreed time scales
- Manage and train all relevant staff, raising any potential disciplinary or grievance issues
- Supervise the work of all housekeeping and domestic service staff to ensure high standards are met
- Complete appraisals of relevant staff and identify training and development needs
- Liaise as necessary with URSL staff (locally and in head office), hall residents, University Clients, key stakeholders and University Accommodation Services
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and policies
- Provide cover for cleaning team members as necessary and provide support for the Residence Manager

About You
We truly care about the experience of our residents and invite you to join our friendly team and help make a positive difference to students living away from home in our accommodation.
We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role and environment with supervisory experience and have great communication and organisation skills, along with an attention to detail and the passion to ensure your team always does an excellent job.
You will also be flexible to work (with notice) additional hours when needed, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends. Offers of employment are subject to satisfactory vetting, inclusive of employment referencing covering the past three years and you may be subject to additional vetting and barring checks to ensure your suitability for the role, which could include completing a basic DBS.
