Description

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences? As a Conference & Events Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional events across Bath Spa University. From graduations, conferences, seminars to summer schools, you’ll help bring a wide range of events to life. With a flair for hospitality and a commitment to outstanding customer service, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. (This is a part-time, 0.5 role)

About the Role

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, converting enquiries into bookings and ensuring every detail is perfectly planned and executed. From coordinating venues, catering, and accommodation to managing casual staff and liaising with internal departments, you’ll oversee events from start to finish. You’ll also support marketing efforts, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, all while keeping the customer experience front and centre.

About You

  • Proven Experience in hospitality function
  • Planning & Organisational Skills
  • Excellent Communication & Customer Service Skills
  • A flexible approach to working, due to nature of events.
  • Knowledge of HE events, graduation etc.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety

Additional Information

Grade 5 - Starting from £14,794 rising to £16,501 per annum pro rata £29,588 - £33,002

The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Due to the nature of this post regretfully we cannot accept applications that do not have the Right to Work/Live in the UK therefore your application will be rejected.

This post is not available on a job share basis. There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends as required for this role, when only time off in lieu is provided. In addition some Bank Holiday working may be required depending on the needs of the business. Working hours may be worked over any pattern based on any 5 days out of 7 subject to compliance with the Working Time Regulations
