Summary
Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Part Time Custodian cleans and maintains the school building and grounds, sets up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work requests.
Job Details
- Application Close: No later than July 9, 2026
- Hours: 3.0 per day
- Term: 237 days per year
- Salary: $16.41 per hour (2026–2027 Support Salary Table)
- Promotions Policy: Minimum 5% increase upon promotion
- Aged Minimum: Must be at least 16 years old
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain school buildings, grounds, and furnishings.
- Set up equipment for special events and school programs.
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with cleaning, maintenance, and building upkeep requests.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Adhere to all facility and school safety regulations.

Educational & Knowledge Requirements
No formal education required beyond:
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Physical Demands
Job requires very heavy work, demanding:
- Exertion of sufficient strength to move objects or materials, including:
- In excess of 20 pounds daily (constant)
- In excess of 50 pounds occasionally (frequent)
- In excess of 100+ pounds occasionally
Physical Abilities Required:
- Climbing, crawling, kneeling, lifting, squatting, grasping, and repetitive motion
- Finger dexterity, repetitive accessory motions, and gross body equilibrium
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments for extended periods.
