About the Role
Cygnet Group are seeking an experienced and motivated Domestic Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll help us maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for the individuals in our care.
Job Details
- Working Hours: 24 hours per week, covering Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (07:00 am till 03:00 PM)
- Location: Cygnet Cedars
As part of our domestic team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the service, supporting the smooth and efficient running of the facility.

Cygnet Cedars is a 23-bed high dependency complex care service for men with learning disabilities, associated complex needs and who may have behaviours that challenge.

We accept emergency referrals and the team are experienced in managing them quickly and efficiently to ensure the transition for each individual is as smooth as possible.
Your Day-to-Day
- Carry out daily and scheduled cleaning tasks across the service
- Maintain cleanliness in communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and staff spaces
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure a welcoming environment
- Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well-maintained
- Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
- Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

You Are
- Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable)
- Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)
- Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
- A good communicator
