Part Time Public Area Cleaner – 16 Hours Per Week (Evening Shift, 3:30–12:00)

About the Role We’re recruiting for a Part Time Public Area Cleaner to join the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa team—Edinburgh’s largest 5-star hotel, featuring a 500-seat banqueting facility and One Square Restaurant. This evening shift position (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) requires a proactive liaison between housekeeping, guests, and departments to uphold exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Liaison & Guest Support:
- Act as the visible presence in public areas, anticipating needs and addressing guest requests in real-time.
- Collaborate with Executive Housekeeper to support daily housekeeping operations.
- Maintain open communication with Housekeeping teams and cross-functional groups.
• Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Ensure service areas (lifts, corridors, public zones) are immaculate, removing waste, crockery, glassware and adhering to brand-standard aesthetics.
- Promptly report any damage or maintenance issues; follow protocols for lost property/safety/environmental compliance.

Essential Requirements
• Experience in Housekeeping within a 5-star hospitality environment (critical). • Excellent communication skills, ability to project a professional image while representing Marriott standards. • Self-motivated, team-oriented with attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
