Interim Finance Director / Head of Finance (Part-Time)
6-Month FTC | 2-3 Days Per Week | £60,000-£65,000 FTE | Hybrid Working
An established, purpose-led organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director / Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership during an important period of transition.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and the Board, supporting commercial decision-making, investment opportunities, financial planning and organisational growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a commercially minded finance professional with strong experience in project-led environments, investment appraisal and complex financial modelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Partner with the Managing Director and Board on strategic decisions.
- Review, challenge and develop complex financial and investment models.
- Support funding strategies, commercial projects and business cases.
- Oversee financial governance, controls, audit and statutory reporting.
- Provide leadership and support to the wider finance function.
- Deliver meaningful insight to support long-term organisational objectives.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating at Finance Director or Head of Finance level.
- Strong background in project finance, infrastructure investment, corporate finance or investment appraisal.
- Advanced financial modelling capability.
- Experience supporting Boards, investors, lenders or senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute with strong strategic and analytical skills.
Highly Desirable
- Experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, environmental services or similarly project-led sectors.
- Exposure to debt funding, investor reporting, funding structures or capital investment projects.
- Experience operating within a growing or evolving organisation.
