Part-Time Forest School Assistant (Long-Term Opportunity)
Location: The Weald C of E Primary School, Beare Green, Dorking, Surrey
Hours: Wednesdays, Term Time Only, 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Start Date: Wednesday 16 September 2026
Pay: £22 per session
Silverwoods Forest School is looking for a passionate and reliable Forest School Assistant to join our growing team. Based in a beautiful private woodland at The Weald C of E Primary School, you’ll support child-led Forest School sessions, helping children build confidence, resilience and a lifelong connection with nature.

About the Role
You will support the Lead Forest School Practitioner in delivering engaging, safe and inspiring sessions for primary-aged children. Duties include:
- Supporting child-led Forest School activities.
- Assisting with woodland management, equipment and resources.
- Promoting safe practice around tools, fires and outdoor learning.
- Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Essential
- Passion for working with children outdoors.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and committed.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Forest School qualification.
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred).
- Outdoor First Aid qualification.
- Level 3 Safeguarding Children training (or equivalent).
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
