Part Time HR Administrator

22.5 Hours per Week | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Flexible | Hybrid Working | Winchester

We're supporting an established, purpose-driven organisation with strong values and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in its community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and personable HR Administrator to join a collaborative People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their HR experience within a varied, generalist role, supporting a workforce of approximately 90 employees. You'll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle while working in an environment that values openness, excellence, and kindness.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play an integral role in supporting the smooth running of HR operations and delivering a professional and efficient HR administration service across the organisation.

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, including safer recruitment administration.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries.
  • Supporting payroll administration and finance processes.
  • Assisting with employee relations casework through meeting coordination, note-taking, and basic investigations.
  • Organising training events and maintaining associated records.
  • Producing surveys, presentations, and employee engagement materials.
  • Supporting HR projects, research, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys building positive working relationships. You'll ideally bring:

  • Recent HR administration experience, or a CIPD Level 3 qualification alongside relevant administrative experience.
  • A sound understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.

Working Pattern

This role is offered on a part-time basis of 22.5 hours per week, typically worked across a minimum of three days. The organisation is happy to offer flexibility around how these hours are structured and welcomes applications from candidates seeking a working pattern that suits their individual circumstances. Whilst there is flexibility, the team would ideally like some hours to be worked on a Monday to support collaboration and operational requirements.
