HR Advisor (Part-Time – 25 Hours) | SME Environment | Flexible Working
We’re working with a fantastic, well-established SME to find a proactive HR Advisor who’s looking for a varied, hands-on role in a genuinely supportive and collaborative business. This is an opportunity to join a company where people love working – reflected in their low staff turnover and strong team culture. If you’re someone who enjoys being close to the business and making a real impact and difference, this could be a great role.
This is a true generalist HR position where you’ll partner closely with managers across the organisation, providing practical, down-to-earth HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in guiding and coaching managers, ensuring best practice, and confidently managing a wide range of employee relations matters.

What You’ll Be Doing
Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on day-to-day HR matters Managing employee relations cases end-to-end including: Disciplinary Grievance Performance management Absence management Supporting and coaching managers to build confidence and capability Ensuring compliance with employment law and HR best practice Contributing to HR processes and helping improve ways of working Supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a generalist HR role within an SME Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing cases independently Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law A proactive, solutions-focused approach Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills Organised, detail-oriented with strong process mindset Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
