Part-time HR Advisor - Newly created role
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established private sector organisation to recruit a part-time HR Advisor.
The role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking for a business-as-usual generalist role within a supportive and collaborative team. You'll provide practical HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with managers to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
The main responsibilities:
As HR Advisor, you will support managers and employees across a wide range of day-to-day HR activities, including:
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and performance processes.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction activities.
- Assisting with probation reviews, employee development and performance processes.
- Supporting the administration of the employee lifecycle including contract changes and leavers.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures remain compliant and are consistently applied.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience of NI employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting employee relations casework.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards).
What's on offer:
- Base salary up to £45k (FTE) - based on experience.
