HR Advisor

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing HR team. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this is a newly created role that offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact across the business.

This is a part-time position, and we are happy to be flexible and work with you depending on the hours you are seeking.

As HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, providing professional HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. You will work closely with the HR Officers, helping to drive best practice, support managers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on day-to-day HR matters.
  • Work collaboratively with HR Officers to provide effective HR support across the business.
  • Take ownership of recruitment activities, supporting managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, including:
    • Disciplinary matters
    • Grievances
    • Performance management
    • Absence management
  • Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
  • Deliver and support training on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and ways of working.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to exit.
  • Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including managing applications, preparing shortlists and coordinating interviews.
  • Support the development and mentoring of HR Officers.
  • Participate in and lead on ad hoc HR projects as required.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced HR professional with a solid generalist HR background.
  • Comfortable managing a range of employee relations cases.
  • Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels.
  • Knowledgeable in UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards qualification) would be advantageous.
